Born from every beach day I almost skipped.

Zilka started with a feeling so many of us know too well, and a promise to never let hair decide where we go or what we wear.

The towel trick.

Growing up, summer was meant to be the best time of the year. For me, it was the most stressful.

Before every beach day I'd do the maths. When did I last shave? Would the stubble show? Was my bikini line red and bumpy again? I became a pro at the towel trick: sitting with it draped over my legs, saying I wasn't really in the mood for a swim.

I wasn't shy. I was just tired of feeling like my skin was something to hide.

Been there, tried that

I tried everything.

Every method promised smooth skin. Every one came with a catch.

Nicks, razor burn and stubble back by the next morning.

Painful, pricey, and I had to grow it out first.
